The 501 Ranch has a rustic, ranch charm with modern touches throughout and is perfect for any type of event- weddings, corporate events or meetings, private parties, hunting excursions, or shooting sports. The goal for the center was to create a place that blends with nature and can be used to host gatherings of any size. The options for entertaining groups from 12 to 600 at the facility seem to allow just that.
History
Lodge Safe
Made in 1877, the large safe featuring the University of Texas logo in the Lodge was given to the university with its contents, a collection of ancient coins that was valued at $200,000.
Bar Doors
Set of antique doors with colorful stained glass windows at the end of the bar. They came from the basement of a bar located on Austin’s Sixth Street in the early 1900s.
Satellite Fixtures
These were satellite dishes on a microwave tower, they hung four years as part of Armstrong McCall wholesale beauty-supply company warehouse in Austin.
The Little White Chapel
The quaint little white chapel near the lake exudes simple elegance with a bit of flair. The floors in the little white chapel are something special. They are made of Jerusalem stone which came from Bethlehem.
The Lodge
The main lodge features a Great Hall with two fireplaces, a unique saloon & bar, two patios, a gourmet kitchen and private dining room.
The Pavilion
The large covered pavilion is complete with a stage, wood burning fire place, a kitchen area and a stone bar.
Shooting Range
Have some friendly competition with your fellow hunters with 5-stand, skeet, or trap.
Whether it’s 5 Stand you prefer, or skeet or trap, we have it all! 501 Ranch offers a variety of shooting sports, including skeet shooting, trap shooting and sporting clays. The skeet range was built early on and has been a favorite from the beginning. in 2014, the range was dedicated to Bob Zaiglyn, John’s friend and biologist for building a unique and outstanding White-tail deer herd.
