CAMP HOPE VETERANS HUNT
Each year John McCall hosts a group of wounded warriors from Camp Hope. This year we had five guys come in and hunt the 501. They were a very special group who enjoyed the ranch and what we had to offer. Camp Hope is a non-profit organization in Missouri dedicated to helping men and women in our armed forces who have been injured physically and mentally from war by taking them hunting and enjoying the outdoors.
This was the 501 Ranch’s sixth year in hosting the wounded warriors. Each day was so fun with these guys and at dinner we were privileged to listen to their stories and hear about their lives according to Ranch Mgr James Saunders. John was even so kind as to get a helicopter rented one day for them so they could see the entire ranch and enjoy being up in the air. Anthony Salem, Don Jokinen, Jared Feldman, John Pete Walker, and Jim Johnson were the men we were honored to host and enjoy the company of. They spent January 13th – 18th at the ranch and each hunter harvested a management buck.
CAMP HOPE DISABLED VETERANS HUNT
This could not happen without the cooperation of the 501 Ranch and its staff. Camp Hope would like to thank the 501 Ranch for their continued support of the healing of our servicemen and women of the Armed Forces.
The video below is of an annual trip that Camp Hope makes to the 501 Ranch. Each year, Camp Hope brings a few disabled veterans to this ranch to give them a chance at a trophy whitetail buck. Camp Hope is dedicated to honoring our fallen by helping our wounded.
This year’s veterans are: Sissy Hollon (Michigan), Greg Cain (Missouri) and Jim Johnston (Michigan). Special thanks to Tom Vogt and John Pete Walker from Camp Hope, both board members of Camp Hope for taking this group to Texas. Learn more about Camp Hope.
